Tafury RZ is a Marmande tomato, a medium-large sized beefsteak that is lightly ribbed with a flattened, globe shape. The flesh is firm and meaty with minimal seeds. The flavour is perfectly savoury but well balanced; exceeding a Brix of 6 - it is a culinary hero.
Tafury RZ has all the benefits of an heirloom tomato without the agronomic drawbacks. It is a vigorous, compact yet open plant with an excellent disease resistance package. Tafury RZ prefers high EC / ‘salty’ growing conditions.
Autumn to spring production in unheated greenhouses is ideal, and harvesting is best suited from mid-June to the end of October. This can take place at greenback or at full red. Good shelf life provides more flexibility and less waste.
