Description

Ceyone RZ is a vibrant green celery variety, perfect for the Australian market.
Glossy and attractive, the stems and leaves are a healthy medium-green colour.

The plant is relatively tall, and upright, with long and slender petioles.
High, uniform internodes and a lack of side shoots make for a consistent, attractive, easy-processing plant.

This is a cold-season variety, with vigour to get through the Autumn and Winter periods. It’s a faster variety, with good growing speed.

Ceyone’s stand-out agronomic feature is impressive field-holding ability.
It has demonstrated some tolerance to bolting, helping it through the unexpected warm spells, with some potential to go into early Spring.

Ceyone  is a multi-purpose variety, suitable for all market segments

  • It presents well for fresh bunches
  • A nice strong plant for hearts
  • Long, slender petioles make for great loose-stick processing.
  • Due to high dry matter this variety is ideal for the export market
  • Plant structure and consistency lends itself to ease of processing, for sticks or diced.

Good behaviour against leaf disease, including Septoria leaf spot, has been evident in warm, humid climates.
