Teama RZ is a white pointed cabbage variety. Teama is smaller than a traditional cabbage, weighing 1-2.2kg, with fresh green colour and good internal fill. Mild, sweet flavours and satisfying textures are a hit with retailers and consumers.
Pointed cabbages are relatively new to the market, joining the trend of smaller, sweeter, single-serve vegetables. Pointed cabbages are an exciting addition for consumers and growers alike.
Pointed cabbages are easy and efficient to grow; beds can be prepared in the same way as traditional cabbage, but planted at higher densities.
In summer, harvest maturity will be around 60 days from transplant. In a Victorian winter it is around 80 days; about two-thirds of the time as larger, traditional cabbages. This variety is strong against tip burn.
