Ralston is a brilliantly coloured baby cos lettuce variety. Slightly blistered and glossy leaves with an attention-grabbing emerald-green. With vibrant and bright colouring, Ralston RZ really pops.
As well as attractive, Ralston RZ fills quickly, and has a wide growing window. It’s fairly slow bolting. It’s better suited to warm conditions in southern areas. In the north, Ralston can be used year-round.
Developed for open-field cultivation.
Ralston RZ has a good resistance package, including Lettuce Mosaic Virus (LMV), fusarium, and mildew.
Offering versatility, a nice base-shape makes Ralston ideal for the twin-pack market, however, chopped a bit higher off the ground, it’s also suitable for the loose-leaf market.
