ARALDINO RZ F1 is an ox-heart tomato variety. A beautiful, old-fashioned tomato style – ox heart, bullock heart, coeur de boeuf - A tomato by any other name!
Araldino has an appealing aesthetic, with a rustic, nicely ribbed shape. Although traditionally harvested with only a blush of red colouring, a great benefit of Araldino is that it retains its firm texture and internal integrity once it reaches a full red colour. It doesn’t get floury or lose its texture, giving it a longer shelf life and higher quality for the end consumer.
Ox heart is one of the largest varieties of cultivated tomatoes, Araldino’s average fruit weight can vary depending on your growing style. If you do not truss prune, fruit will grow to 200-220 grams. With truss pruning, weights get up to 250-300 grams.
